ANZAC Day at the Osbourne Hotel is a day to commemorate and celebrate. This year, the Osbourne Hotel has chosen to team up with Survive To Thrive Nation and Newstead Brewing Co. to make this not only a day to remember but also a day to make a positive change, as Australian Defence service families whom have sacrificed so much for us, need a hand up now, more than ever.
The Osbourne spoke to founding CEO of Survive to Thrive Nation, Dane Christison about his organisation.
"Survive to Thrive Nation was built through my own personal experience of overcoming the battles I faced on my return home from Iraq. PTSD was one thing, but the transition back to civilian life came with its own complications."
The main driver for Dane for Survive to Thrive Nation is to help educate and facilitate personal development to assist in overcoming the horrific effects of PTSD on veterans, and also to support current and former Defence families regain control of their lives – emotionally, physically and financially. The organisation offers the Post War Survive to Thrive Program, the world’s first online Mental Health and Transitioning Success coaching program that provides peer support and mentoring to service families and first responders.
For Dane, Anzac Day signifies a day of paying our respects to those who paid the ultimate sacrifice serving our nation past and present for the wonderful freedom we enjoy today, and never forgetting that the sacrifice goes way beyond the battlefields.
The ultimate way to show your support to Survive to Thrive Nation is through their sponsorship initiative. You can donate as an individual or as a business with proceeds going 100% to the delivery of the program.
For every $1,000 raised, Survive To Thrive enrols a veteran onto the program with 24-hour access to national peer support.
How can you help this Anzac Day? Well we’ve made it easier than ever…
Newstead Brewing Co. will be donating a Karma Keg on the day to help us in raising funds on the day. Not only will your generous donation score you a cold pint of Newstead’s easy-drinking Session Ale at an awesome price; but also you will be helping Australians and their families who are dealing with PTSD on a daily basis gain access to the help they need.
Australians are known for their camaraderie, so come join us at the Osbourne on Anzac Day to enjoy a beverage, play a game of two-up and show your support.
